PrestigeXP

Objective: eSports Analytics Platform

Executive Management & Product Design

A computer vision machine learning platform that helps eSports gamers to measure their performance and improve skills.

Product Vision

The idea came from our personal experiences as gamers. We were highly competitive and serious about ranking up to the highest level where we would get recognition and notariety from our peers.

However, back then the only way you could play against the best to test your skills is by finding available gamers on Twitter. We sought to build a sight to connect gamers and track their competitve play. The vision became clear when we realized that all gamers have the same goal when they've reached the inflection point in their gaming progression.

Power of Data

The success of our company meant having a product that proved successful results. Our biggest challenge was not having a proven recipe to help every gamer improve their skills. Aggregating best practices and personal tips, tricks and secret formulas from competitve gamers would have been inefficient.

It was time to work smarter and lean on technology to do the heavy lifting. The data source was right in front of our faces the entire time, all inside the game. After developing a few methods for data collection, we invented the best way to collect and process the data that would benefit all parties in competitive gaming (players, game developer, business vendors).

Beta Launch

After successful validation of our product assumptions, we went full force to create our vision. The very first eSports platform to employ computer vision object detection and machine learning training models to process millions of gamers skill progression.

By the time we launched our official beta platform, we had already been to 100 startup and esports events and conferences, made semi-finalists in 2 venture accelerators, turned down 7 seed investment offers, and approached by big time VC funds BetaWorks and Accel Ventures. 6 weeks after beta launch, we had acquired 1,600 new users with 68% daily active users.
